“Doors of Italy”
The Inspiration
Central and southern Italy are very hot in the summer. In the days before air conditioning, transom windows were commonly installed above street-level doors which allowed cooling breezes in, but kept intruders out. The variation of designs seems endless and there may be a few new “Porte” designs yet to come.

Porte d’Italia is a good example of “designing by walking around.” It’s a faithful re-imagining of a bit of wrought-iron grille work I spotted above a doorway while strolling the side streets near the Palazzo Pitti. I had much of the basic design finalized even before returning to my studio.—Christopher
The Details
All Porte d’Italia pendants are highly detailed and textured. The bail is made of hand-twisted 14k rose gold. Each gemstone version of the pendant measures approximately one inch across.

Our Porte d’Italia comes in diamond and colored gemstone versions. Diamond pendants are offered in the standard 1″ size and a smaller, 3/4″ size, and are available in all 14k rose gold, or in sterling silver with a 14k rose gold bezel and bail. Diamond earrings match the small pendant and have a closure.

The ring versions of Porte d’Italia features a unique by-pass shank design, and each features the same level of detail and texture as the larger pendants.

Bella Italia
Breathtaking! This CC Original design features a very fine, round brilliant cut diamond weighing .70 carat. It is surrounded by a gently curving cushion halo. This amazing ring has forty perfectly cut small diamonds throughout the design. A petite V shape sets this ring apart from the classic halo and is contrasted by our hand engraved Bella motif on the bottom half of the shank. A truly amazing deisgn! The ring has over 1.17 carats total weight of very fine diamonds.
